Mr. Finley was born on Oct. 28, 1917, in Denison, son of Edward and Emma Finley and attended Andersen schools. He was a World War II Army veteran, and a member of the 561st Composite Service Company. He was awarded the Good Conduct Victory Medal serving in the American Theater, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater and Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He was a member of the American Legion 62 and the VFW.
Surviving are his niece, Joyce Collins Johnson of Denison; great-niece, Crystal Collins and Tiffany Wright, both of Denison; great-nephew, Malcom Wright of Denison; one great-greatnephew of Denison; and three great-greatnieces of Denison. Public viewing will be at Angelic Mortuary in Sherman all day Thursday.
