Billie Marie Peace Murphy went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents Dewey Blackburn Peace and wife, Edna Pauline Jones Peace.
Born May 27, 1928 in Center, Texas moved to Houston and met and married Preston Junior Murphy on April 24, 1948. After 61 years of marriage she lost her love.
She was a beautician for 35 years. They enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and traveling. They traveled to every state in the USA plus all Canadian Province.
She is survived by son Jackie Douglas Murphy and wife Sandy; daughter Rebecca Ann Murphy Frezia and husband Wayne; grandchildren Shelby, Cody and Zachary; seven great- grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to all her wonderful caring neighbors. She was very blessed by them, and they were blessed by her.
A very, very special thanks to Heart to Heart hospice. They have been our heart and our rock for the last three months.
In lieu of flowers we would like donations made to the American Heart Association.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM on Monday, June 12 2017 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM (noon) on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at County Line Cemetery in Mount Enterprise, Texas.
