April was the daughter of Larry and Joyce Myers and grew up in Topeka graduating from Seaman High School. She went on to graduate from Kansas State University with a Bachelor's of Agriculture degree in Greenhouse and Nursery Management. April was Head Grower at Dallas Johnson Greenhouses in Council Bluffs, IA., and was an Iowa Master Gardener. She also was an active volunteer at Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha's Botanical Center. April lived life to the fullest. Flowers and gardening were just some of her passions in life. She loved her family, friends, and her four cats, Morgan, Willie, Bud and CC. She died in a plane crash at age 31.
