The death of John Lowe, 71, occurred at his home in Simpson's Corner on Thursday, October 8 th, following an illness of five weeks. The deceased was the son of the late Abel Lowe and Mary Wagner Lowe. He was born at New Germany. Surviving are his widow; five sons, Elwin, Bridgetown; Fred in the service at Fredericton, New Brunswick; Lawton, Mosherville, Hants County; Murray, Halifax; Glen, Simpson's Corner; six daughters, Ina, Mrs. Sawler, New Albany; Arlene ,Mrs. Obed Snyder, Halifax; Glodie, Mrs. Lloyd Veinotte, Halifax; Albina, Mrs. Kirk Whalen, Summerside, P.E.I.; Mildred, Chester; Leverne, Simpson's Corner; five brothers, Harley, Gilbert, Solomon, Porter, Robert, all of Bridgetown; and two sisters, Bertha, wife of Elwin Daniels, Lawrencetown; Dora, Mrs. Isaac Tipert, New Germany. The funeral service was held at Simpson's Corner Church, Sunday afternoon, with Rev. Melvin French, Anglican minister officiating. Interment was made at Simpson's Corner Cemetery.
