PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLA. — Jeremy Wayne Curtis, 17, formerly of Hopkinsville, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, in Panama City Beach, Fla., following a motor vehicle accident.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lamb Funeral Home with the Rev. John Rasel officiating. Burial will follow in Pennington Cemetery, the county.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

A native of Cape Girardeau, Mo., he was born Sept. 2, 1988, the son of Bobby and Lisa Curtis, Panama City Beach, Fla.

He was a junior at Arnold High School, Panama City Beach, Fla.

In addition to his parents, survivors include Robert Brian McCleskey, Vernon, Fla.; a sister, Crystal Hurt, Paducah; maternal grandmother, Loyce Hayes, the county; a paternal grandmother, Ella Curtis, Thebes, Ill.; a paternal grandfather, Bob Curtis, Corinth, Miss.; a paternal great-grandfather, Bill Beasley, Tamms, Ill.

Police have identified a Panama City Beach teenager killed Tuesday night, Dec. 13, 2005, in a vehicle-pedestrian accident on a popular beach cut-through.
Investigaters with the Flordia Highway Patrol reported that 17 year-old Jeremy W. Curtis was walking east on Clarence Street at about 9:30 p.m. when he stepped into the path of a passing vehicle. The driver of the vehicle called 911 to report the accident and when officers with the Panama City Beach Police Department and Bay County Sheriff's offic responded to the scene to find Curtis fatally injured. No other injuries were reported.

Services for Jeremy Wayne Curtis, 17, Panama City Beach, Fla., formerly of Hopkinsville, Ky., will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lamb Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. John Rasel officiating. Burial will be in Pennington Cemetery, in Christian County.
