Michael "Ozzie" Osborn age 68, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Yolanda Santana Osborn; daughter, Jennifer Osborn Brozak; step son, Vince Diaz; grandchildren: Zoey, Zachary and Zaylee Brozak and Vincent III, Amadeus, Yolanda, Iyanna and Makayla; sisters, Kathleen (George) Pearson and Pamela (Scott) Mysiewicz; mother in law, Gume Santana; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Phyllis Osborn; sister, Patricia Batista and brothers, Ronald Osborn and Dennis Osborn. Ozzie was born in East Chicago, IN and was a student of the first graduating class of Lake Central High School in 1967. He proudly served our country in the US Navy during Vietnam. He retired from LTV Steel with over 33 years of service. Ozzie was an avid golfer and felt fortunate to achieve two holes in one. He enjoyed puzzles, bird watching, motorcycling and spending time with his family. He was a proud member of the Bill W Fellowship for 25 years. Ozzie was a loving son, brother, husband, father and papa and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Schererville, IN) with Rev. Kevin P. McCarthy officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
