Nena "Carol" Anderson, age 82 of Powell, went to meet her Lord and Savior and join her mother, Lottie; grandson, Kevin; and granddaughter, April, on June 7, 2017. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. Carol was a fun-loving, hardworking and generous person who was known by many as Hotsy. She retired from Weigels and enjoyed her grandchildren, her four-legged companions, and her friends at Max Potential. She will always be remembered for her big heart, sense of humor, and feisty spirit.

Carol is survived and will always be remembered by her sons, Greg L. Anderson, Jeffrey G. Anderson, Tony DeVaughn Anderson and wife Bette; daughter, Sherry Flatford and husband Paul; grandchildren, Shadoe, Steven, Kristy, Glenda, Rachel, Katie, and Jeffrey; several great-grandchildren including one on the way; brothers, Woody and Red; sister, Wanda; and several other family and friends she loved.

The family will Receive Friends on Sunday, June 11th from 2-4 at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel. We will gather at Woodhaven Cemetery on Monday at 2 pm for the Graveside Service, with Rev. Jim Duncan officiating. Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Anderson family and invites you to view and sign their online guestbook at gentrygriffey.com.
