Danny Eugene Hensley, 66, of Mustang, Oklahoma, died June 6, 2017. He was born April 1, 1951.
After decades of living with the effects of a near fatal injury, Danny was released to his permanent home where he has joined his beloved wife, Marsha. Today they are dancing with the angels. Danny was also preceded in death by his father, M. Sidney Hensley. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Hensley of Bethany, Oklahoma; brothers, Johnny Hensley of Oklahoma City, Rick Hensley of Lake Mary, Florida; and sister, Sue Heckard of Warr Acres. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Danny was a 1969 graduate of Putnam City High School, “the original,” as a member of the last consolidated graduation class of Putnam City. Danny graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Rose State College.
Danny worked faithfully for the State of Oklahoma and Children’s Medical Center until his health required his retirement.
Danny grew up in the Tulakes Baptist Church in Bethany, Oklahoma and was an active, longtime member of the Mayridge Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, which he considered his extended family.
Services for Danny will be held at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, Oklahoma at 1PM on Saturday, June 10, 2017 with interment in the Cyril Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 8 to 12 Saturday morning.
