Bill E. Watson, Springfield, Missouri, departed this life June 7, 2017.
He was born August 20, 1930 at Norman, Oklahoma to Grady Earnest and Nina Bell Watson.
Bill graduated Norman High School in 1948 and attended University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma and was an avid Oklahoma University fan.
He was united in marriage to Nova Dean Smith on June 15, 1951 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Norman, Oklahoma.
Bill was saved at the age of nine in the Baptist Church of Rush Springs, Oklahoma.
He served his country in the United States Army as Staff Sergeant in the Korean War from 1951-1953.
Bill worked at Southwestern Bell/AT&T, retiring as District Manager of Personnel for the state of Oklahoma in 1989 after thirty nine years of service.
Bill was a member of Second Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri. Bill enjoyed working in the media, camera and switching at the church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Melba Jean Watson and a sister-in-law Johnnie Ruth McClennahan.
Survivors include his wife Nova Watson, daughter Cindy and son-in-law Dr. Leon Gregston, his extended family, Aaron and Marti Tidwell, sons Blake, Parker and Landon, Chris and Misti Gregston and daughters Libby and Marley, sisters-in-law, Virginia Morrow and family, Jozell Montgomery of Wheeling, and niece Sandra Craig, Laquita Rogers and his adopted grandchildren Brian Permenter and Lacie Panknin also survive.
Graveside services at I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens, Norman, Oklahoma.
