Helen Bland, passed away peacefully in St. Louis after a full life, well lived. She was a determined woman born the baby in the family of five in Eureka, Kansas to immigrants Jacob and Lydia (Diel) Oblander. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, friend and devoted Christian. She worked at the Credit Bureau for over forty years and sang in the Methodist church choir for over 40 years. She did her crossword every day. She enjoyed walking daily until her health prohibited it. She loved to line dance with her friends and travel in retirement. She spoke her mind and people loved her for it.

Helen will be deeply missed by all who are left behind. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Frank, and her son Steven. She leaves behind, her son Alan and his wife Nancy (Nelson) Bland, and grandchildren Jacob and Nelson Bland, Michael and Kristi (Bland) McCoy, Steve and Kimberly (Bland) Stone, great grandchildren, Aidan McCoy, Nathan and Stephanie (Barlow) Kocher, Chloe Jackson, Logan Jackson, Taylor Jackson and Tim Stauder, great-great grandchildren Aaron, Olivia, Adeline Kocher

Services: Funeral service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Sunday, 4:00 p.m.

Helen had another sister. Her name was Francis Oblander Bolson. She was older than Helen.
Helen had two sons. Her other son is Bruce Alan Bland.
