Dorothy Mae Cheatham, 94, died Jan. 26, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Home, Hutchinson.
She was born March 8, 1913, in Partridge, the daughter of Joseph and Frankie Florence Hemphill. A resident of Hutchinson, she was a homemaker.

On Sept. 14, 1941, she married James Marion Cheatham.

Survivors include: a daughter, Debbie K. Pierce and husband, Robert, Satanta; a brother, Orville Lee Hemphill and wife, Jerry, Arizona; a sister, Beth Young, Hutchinson; grandchildren, April Hoch and husband, Steve, Satanta, Joshua Zimmerman and wife, Margarita, Hutchinson, Sandy Dubbs and husband, Daniel, Mulvane, Shane Sandlian, Wichita, Preston Pierce, Wichita, and Pamela Pierce, Satanta; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Howard and Byron; and a sister, Ruby.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Partridge Cemetery.
