Carolyn Love Rowe McKinney, age 70, a resident of Umpire, Arkansas, and former resident of De Queen, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at her home. She was born in San Saba, Texas, on October 10, 1946, to Leland Paul Sr., and Lillian Pauline Roper Rowe.

She was a retired school teacher, having taught in De Queen and Foreman, as well as a homemaker. She attended the Mt. View Baptist Church, and enjoyed Sci-fi books, jewelry, collecting, and loved animals, especially her dog Molly, and her barrel racing horse,
Zero Diamond. She was an avid reader, but most of all she cherished the time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Leland Rowe, Jr., a son, Kevin McKinney.

She is survived by a son, Brian McKinney and his spouse, Douglas of Nashville, Tennessee, a daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Randall “Bo” Pugh of Dierks, a sister, Susan Meisner of Suisun, California, six grandchildren, Cameron Pugh, Aspen Pugh, Presley Pugh, Marissa DeCoopman, Nick DeCoopman, and Aidan DeCoopman, a great-granddaughter, Leila DeCoopman, and a great-grandchild soon to be born, Ava, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Carolyn McKinney will be held at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, June 7, 2017, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brian Pounds officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery.
