Funeral services for Jim W. Ivy, 37, of Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of Huntington, will be held Sunday, June 11, 2017 in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin. Interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery.

Jim was born December 21, 1979 in Fort Worth, Texas, and died Sunday, June 4, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a journeyman electrician with the New Mexico IBEW Local Union 611. Jim was a member of First Ora Missionary Baptist Church. Jim was an avid fisherman and UT football fan. He loved his time living and working in the mountain states.

Survivors include his parents, Shirley and Billy Davis; daughter, Ailane Stanley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelby and Kasey Bryan, Amber and Jason Harris; brother, Rex Davis; aunt and uncle, Judy and Danny Winskie; uncle and aunt, Burl and Barbara Ivy; great-aunts and great-uncle, Ethel Havard, Nancy Gibbs, and Dorsey and Habie Walker; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don Ivy; and grandparents, Willard and Lavana Ivy, and Clarence and William Boyett.
