Patricia 'Tippy' A. Gross, 73, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2017, surrounded by her loving family in Bangor. She was born March 17, 1943, the daughter of Katherine Roi and Milford Marks of Orland. She was raised by Opal Snowman of Orland. She was the youngest of 9 children, predeceased by 5 sisters and 3 brothers. She graduated from Bucksport High School in 1961. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Orland for 65 years.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband Alton "Cuddy" Gross of 55 years, her children Alicia A. Mooney and husband Gerald Murray of Glenburn, her son Sean C. Gross and wife Lisa Casterline of Bangor. In addition her four grandchildren; Kristin Spellman of Tulsa, OK, Alex Mooney of Glenburn, Sarah Gross and Joshua Gross of Bangor, and the apple of her eye - great granddaughter; Makenzie Nedik of Bangor.
First and foremost, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her coffee time with friends at McDonalds. She was also a fervent fan of her grandchildren, attending every game and activity whenever possible. She was an avid reader, sharing her passion with her family. She also enjoyed her bus trips, traveling the Country and meeting new people.
She was first class domestic engineer, showing great skill in managing the family business, feeding the masses and managing hectic and busy schedules. She was loved by all and her love and generosity touched the lives of all those around her.
