Death Calls Cuero Twins In Navy-Die In Few Weeks Of Each Other
Cuero, Texas, May 9.--Information was received here Wednesday morning of the death of Joe Bohne at the Naval hospital at Ports mouth, Va., where he had been ill for a week. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Bohne.
He and his twin brother Jesse joined the navy March 23, going to Houston to enlist. In a few weeks Jesse took ill and was soon dead. The death of Joe makes two sons Mr. Bohne has given to his country and both have died natural deaths before they could see action.
The body of Jesse was shipped home and buried with honors. The body of Joe was shipped Wednesday and the funeral will take place Sunday.
The lamented young men were nephews of B. Zedler of Ottine, one of the prominent citizens of our county. Mr. Zedler went to Cuero to attend the funeral.
