She met her husband, Duane (deceased 2009), when he returned from his first Naval service and they were married in January 1948. They moved to Seattle, WA, for two years when he was recalled to service during the Korean War then returned to Newport News.
She leaves to cherish many fond memories her daughter Linda Rohler (Terry) with whom she lived for the past six years on Lake Anna, VA; son Michael (Jan); one grandson Jason Rohler (Cate); and five great grandsons, Joseph, Michael and Terry Rohler, and Eliot and Euan Melder.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, 9 June, at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News.
