Lillie Jantz Allen, 94, of Sunray, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, June 9, 2017 at First Christian Church in Dumas with Rev. Darrell Wait, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors.

Born on April 8, 1923 in Clinton, Oklahoma, Lillie was the daughter of John and Augusta (Busch) Jantz. She grew up in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School. She was united in marriage to Everett Allen on June 14, 1944 in Bessie, OK; he preceded her in death in 1991. The couple moved to Sunray in 1971 where they would farm and raise their family. Lillie loved to crochet, work jigsaw puzzles and visit with her family and friends. She could always be found working in her yard or in her porch swing waving to folks as they passed by. She was of Lutheran faith.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son Danny Allen, three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her son: James Allen and wife Roxann of Dumas; daughter: Linda Wilson of Sugarland, TX; sister: Rosa Mae Fitzgerald of Lakeview, Colorado; grandchildren: Lori Boyd, Jeff Wilson and Melinda Allen; six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to Dumas Education Foundation, PO Box 615, Dumas TX 79029 or to United Way, PO Box 923, Dumas TX 79029.

The family will be at 302 Robin Road.
