The funeral for Athna (Billie) Oakley Carver, 70, of Chub Lake Loop Rd., who died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Duke University Medical Center, will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 13, in Theresa Baptist Church by the Rev. Herbert Brown. Burial will be in Oak Grove United Methodist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Oakley was a native of Person County, the daughter of the late Carroll Oakley and Minnie Bowling Oakley Reaves.
She owned and operated Athna Carver’s Day Care for 15 years.
She was a former member of Theresa Baptist Church.
