Funeral services for Mr. Marcus Benjamin “Benji” Freeman, 50, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Capps Funeral Home. Burial will be in Carson Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Freeman passed away at his residence in Sandy Hook on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. He was born March 3, 1967 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late James W. and Nadine Blankenship Freeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Christopher James Freeman; daughter Jennifer Nicole Freeman; and sister Patty Thompson.

He was a member of Faith Tabernacle in Pine, Louisiana and a carpenter. In addition to his dogs, Benji also enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on antique cars, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his son Rusty Freeman; grandchildren Chloe Lynn Freeman, Christopher James Freeman, Shyla Nicole Freeman, Kian Allen Freeman, and Mallory Nadine Freeman; siblings Asher Blankenship, Patricia Ballhagen, Rose Marie McNeese (George), Betty Surmik (Jimmy), Linda Thomas (Don), Trubie Bedwell, Wilbur Freeman (Charlotte), David Freeman, Jenny Freeman, Troy Freeman (Juanita); and numerous nephews, nieces and other loving family members.

Pallbearers will be Scott Foil, Kerry Ballhagen, George McNeese, Jacob Freeman, Daryell Freeman, and Mitch Pittman.

Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 9 A.M. until service time there at 11 A.M.
