Jerry was born on March 3, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas to parents Admiral and Lillie (Bray) Gardner. He died on June 2, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the age of 68. Jerry was a longtime member of the American Legion Post #200.

He is survived by son, Jerry Gardner and wife, Ellie, of Corpus Christi; daughter, Loura Vincent and husband, Lee, of Corpus Christi; sister, Audia Langston and husband, David, of Pasadena; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and uncles.

He was preceded in death by brother, Tike, and best friend, Raymond Parr, Jr.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. at Knesek & Sons Funeral Home, 122 N. First St. in Wallis. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place at Wallis City Cemetery.
