Jimmy "Hammer" Wayne Morgan, 66, of Tiptonville, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on July 23, 1950 in Lake County, TN, to the late Alvin Morgan and the late Minnie Bell Haynes Morgan.

Jimmy was a retired farmer and attended Lakeview Baptist Church. He was also a hunting and fishing guide for several years and was a very talented musician.

Services for Jimmy Morgan will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Lakeview Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Nichols and the Rev. Paul Adams officiating. Burial will be in Keefe Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Morgan Family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at Lakeview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Rachel Graham and husband, Chuck, of Tiptonville; a son, Shane Morgan of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Laura Sue Watts of Tiptonville and Barbara York of Union City; and nine grandchildren, Mason Meador, Morgan Meador, Yates Graham, Guy Brody Graham, Charlie Hale, Brooklynn Carmody, Conner Morgan, Tristen Morgan and Lilly Ray Morgan.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Corky Morgan and A.G. Still; and a sister, Dorothy Sue Davis.

Pallbearers will be Shane Morgan, Conner Morgan, Tristen Morgan, Mason Meador, Thomas Watts, Tim York, Michael Morgan and Corey Morgan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Wayne McBride, James Waldon, Big John Youngblood, John Watts, John Fields, Joe Gant, Charles Douglas, Bill Tolley, Clyde Staggs, Sr., Clyde Staggs, Jr. and Brian Garner.
