William Lee "Buzz" Borden, Sr. , 67, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Monday, June 5, 2017, at his residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, September 10, 1949, in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Archie Ozell Borden and the late Lavina Mae Borden.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, a former employee of the State of Tennessee Highway Department and Goodyear.

A celebration of life service will be 6:00 PM, Thursday, June 8, 2017, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. James Combs. Visitation will be Thursday, June 8, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by two sons, William L. Borden, Jr. of Newbern, Tennessee and Brian P. Borden of Franklin, Wisconsin; two daughters, Casi Graham Borden Fair (Tim) of Newbern, Tennessee and Ashley Borden of Dyer, Tennessee; two sisters, Lula Hudson of Trimble, Tennessee and Martha Shelton of Newbern, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Watson and Della Parnell.
