JOEL THOMAS BRYANT of Merritt Island, FL died at the Wuesthoff Medical Center. JT was born in St Joe, TX, spent his childhood years in OK and his home town of Tularosa, NM, was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, began his professional career with Lockheed Missiles and Space at White Sands, NM, transferred to FL and had a 35 year career with Lockheed retiring as the Director of Business for the LM&S Florida Missile Test Facility.
Surviving are his wife, Janiece Hemphill Bryant; daughters, Julie Nelson, Jana Bryant and Joy Bryant; grandchildren, Chanda DiPerna, Shereen Luchten, Sondra Meyer and Chad Bryant; great-grandchildren, Emoree Luchten, Evan DiPerna, Rylee DiPerna, Austin Bryant and William Greyson Meyer; sister, Norma Jean Bryant and cousin, Mary Louise McGuire. Funeral services will be held June 7, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island. Florida Memorial Funeral Home in Rockledge, FL is serving the family.
