A native of Sweden, Mr. Akerberg came to the United States in 1890. H was born Feb. 22, 1874, son of the late Mr. arid Mrs. Ulrick- Akeberg. Upon his arrival in this country with his parents he lived in Columbus, O, and in 1901 moved to Little Falls, Minn. While residing there, he married the former Anna Peterson, on Oct 30, 1901. They lived in Little Falls for 10 years and in 1911 moved to Oshkosh. He was employed here as foreman for the Giant Grip Manufacturing Company.
A member of First Congregational church, Mr. Akerberg was also a member of Centennial lodge of Masons.
Survivors are his widow; , daughter, Mrs. J, B. Nims, Detroit Mich.; two sons, George, New Orleans, La, and Carl D. Akerberg, Oshkosh, and a sister, Mrs. Alma -Soderblom, Columbus. O. Three grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by five brothers.
Funeral services will be at t p. m. Tuesday at the Mallery at Seefeld funeral home with the Rev.. Kendrkk Strong of First Congregational church officiating Members of Centennial lodge will I conduct Masonic rites. Friends may call until the time of services. Mr. Akerberg will be buried in Lakeview Memorial park.
