Funeral services for Carl "Teeter" Henderson, 91, of Lamesa will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 10:00 a.m. at Lamesa Church of Christ with Mike Prather officiating and Danny Beck assisting. Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Carl passed away on June 5, 2017 in Lamesa. He was born on Februay 6, 1926 to Harry and Clairressa (Best) Henderson in Rochester, Texas. He served in the United States Navy as a Fireman First Class, USNR during World War II from 1945-1946. He loved farming, hunting, fishing, growing watermelons and sharing his garden harvest. He was an avid domino player. Carl is survived by his sisters, Barbara Cockerham and husband, Jimmie of Bovina and Polly Cantrell of Lamesa; nephew, Don Kearney and wife, Anita ; great- nephew, Quinton Kearney and wife, Pamela and their children, Sarah and Colton; nephews, Wes Cockerham and wife, Charlotte, Steve Cockerham and wife Sandra, Alan Cockerham and wife, Barbara, Carl Ray Douglas and wife, Cathy, Jimmy Henderson and wife Betsy; nieces, Jennifer Riggin and husband, Royce, LaDonna Van Horn and husband, Del, LaWanda Sanders, and husband Martin, and Tammy Hickman and husband, Keith; and numerous great and great-great nephews and nieces.
