Larry C. Hollis, age 64, of Altus, passed away late Thursday evening, June 1, 2017, at OU Medical Center, in Oklahoma City. He was born in Hollis, Oklahoma on August 3, 1952, to William and Lorene (Danley) Hollis.
Moving to Hobart, at a young age, Larry attended Hobart Schools and worked on the construction of the Goodyear plant, in Lawton. He later worked for the City of Altus and in 1995, took over Hollis Plumbing after the death of his father, where he remained until his death. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing. On February 23, 2001, he married Roberta “Robbie” Lynn Jones and they spent the next sixteen wonderful years together before his untimely death. Larry was a member of the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ and owner of Hollis Plumbing.
Preceded in death by his parents, Larry is survived by his wife, Robbie, of the home; two sons, David Benivamonde and wife Monica of Texas and Ricky Benivamonde and wife LaTisha of Blair; one brother, Jim Hollis and his wife Stacy of Hobart; three sisters, Connie Kays of Hobart, Tressie Barr of and husband Ed, of Hobart; Kelly Perry of Altus; seven grandchildren, Troy, Tory, David, Jr., Celia, Dominick, Ricky, Jr. and Robert.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, June 5, 2017, at the Altus City Cemetery with Daniel Ingram officiating.
