Travis Bell, 90, of Gurdon, AR passed away in Arkadelphia, AR, Friday, June 2, 2017. He was born March 25, 1927 in Gurdon, AR, to George M. and Alice Thomas Bell.
Mr. Bell had worked for City Service (Citgo), Red Ball Oxygen, was a mechanic, locomotive engineer with the Reader Railroad and was most proud to be an Army veteran and a retired Master Sergeant in the Army Reserve with 24 years’ service with the unit in Arkadelphia, AR.
Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, sister Anita May, and a brother Kenneth Bell.
Survivors are a brother George Bell ( Kathleen ) of Texarkana, AR, sister in law Sue Bell of Topeka, KS and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 pm Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Pharr Funeral Home of Gurdon. Graveside services with military honors will be 10:00 am Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Rose Hedge Cemetery, Gurdon, AR, with Chris Williams officiating.
