Dawn Eileen (Haidle) Bleess, formerly of Staples, died suddenly in Maryland, on June 2, 2017, apparently of a heart attack. The death occurred while she was doing something that she loved, attending a Bible study at her church, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Odenton, Maryland. Dawn was active not only in various church activities, but in the community, as well, with organizations such as the Meade Area Garden Club. Dawn was born on 4 December, 1962 in Wadena, and grew up in Staples. She was a 1981 graduate of Staples High School. In recent years, she was working on her education again, as a part-time student at Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland.

A funeral mass is planned for 11:00 am Friday, June 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. Visitation will be at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, on Thursday, June 8, from 5-7:00 pm. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery.

Dawn will be missed by her husband of 35 years, Senior Master Sergeant (retired, USAF) Brian Bleess, formerly of Long Prairie; by their son, Jacob Bleess; her mother, Rita Haidle; and her sisters, Delana Krause and Dori Fremstad. She was preceded in death by her father, Curt Haidle, of Staples. Service entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Staples.
