Lora had been dealing with fourth stage lung cancer for the last 17 months. She is now at peace in the hands of our Lord.

We miss her greatly. Lora was born and raised in Sacramento by her parents Jim Falltrick and Grace (Bailey).

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Christopher James Boyd, and brothers in law Verne Hardin and Marvin Utter.

She is survived by Husband Jim Allen, daughter Susan Schoenmackers, daughter in law Nona Boyd, step daughter Janine Allen, and many grandchildren and great-grand- children.

Lora attended Fruit Ridge Elementary school, Sacramento High School, and Sacramento Community College (then known as Sacramento Junior College). She graduated from high school in 1942 at the age of 16.

She was an excellent student and was on the school drill team. She started working at an early age, once working as a soda jerk. Later employment was based on accounting for an insurance agent, then later for the State Department of General Services. She retired in 1981.

Lora and Jim were married in 1963 and moved into their home in Fair Oaks where they remain- ed to the present, a total of 54 years.

She attended first, her family's church, Oak Park Baptist Church, then Carmichael First Baptist church, and finally Fair Oaks United Methodist Church for the last 36 years. She was active in both worshipful and administrative functions of her churches.

She and her buddies produced over 400 quilts for homeless children.

Services will be held June 10 at 11AM at the Fair Oaks United Methodist Church, 9849 Fair Oaks Blvd., in Fair Oaks, CA 95628. Light refreshments will be available after the services.

Her ashes will be placed in the Memorial Garden at Fair Oaks United Methodist Church at a later date.

If you wish, in lieu of flowers it is suggested that a donation be made in Lora's name to your favorite charity . Lora had many she donated to, but some to consider are Downtown Ministries, Salvation Army, Viet Nam Vets, Boy Scouts, and of course Fair Oaks United Methodist Church.
