At the age of 15, Mrs. Garrett worked for Bell Aircraft (which would later become Lockheed Martin) helping make B-29 bombers that would be influential in the outcome of World War II. She went on to work at Western Union Telegraph Company where she met her husband Hugh and they started a family together. She loved to bowl and was involved in a women's league in Austell.
Services were held in Gene Davis White Columns Funeral Chapel. Interment was at Northview Cemetery in Cedartown. Gene Davis White Columns Chapel & Cremations was in charge of arrangements.
