Sandra Moody Dodson, age 69, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 3, 2017.
Sandra was a longtime caregiver, a loving wife and mother and raised several children other than her own. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Church of God of Union Assembly in Knoxville. She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James R. (Jim) Dodson; grandson, Mitch Dodson; parents, J. L. and Grace Moody; siblings, Jimmy Moody, Juanita Shelton, Ralph Moody, Earl Moody and Gene Moody.
Sandra is survived by her daughters, Tammy Norwood and husband Mark, Sherry Anastasia Dodson; sons, Rich Dodson, Chris Dodson and wife Kelly, Shane Dodson all of Knoxville; daughters-in-law Mary Miller of Athens, Kathy Gudger of Powell; grandchildren, Claire Dodson, Matthew Norwood, Cameron Gudger, Olivia Dodson, Nina Dodson, Natalie Dodson, Hayden Dodson; brothers, Jerry Moody and David Moody; several nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday followed by funeral services at 7 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with Rev. Rocky Smith and Rev. David Simmons officiating.
Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Concord Masonic Cemetery for graveside services.
