Charles Eugene “Chuck” Britton, 65, of Solsberry, passed away at 10:48 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born June 5, 1951 in Solsberry, he was the son of Fred and Betty Lee (Wright) Britton.
He retired from GE as a control man and was a farmer. He was on the Tulip Trestle Restoration Committee.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Gloria (Price) Britton, whom he married Aug. 18, 1972; his daughters, Erin Nicole “Nickie” Britton Adcock (Jim) of Bloomfield and Jennifer Britton Snyder (Troy) of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Connor Snyder, A.J. Adcock and Brent Adcock; his mother, Betty Britton of Bloomington; one brother, Frederick L. Britton of Springville; two sisters, Nila Moiser of Spencer and Peggy Fitch of Solsberry; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Britton; a sister, Teresa Seever and a niece, Carolynann Moiser.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 7 at the Solsberry Christian Church, with Jim Weimer officiating. Interment will follow in Newark cemetery in rural Solsberry.
