Richard A. Haddock, 53, of 7 Linbrook Drive, a letter carrier with the U. S. Postal Service for the last 25 years, died yesterday in Kent County Memorial Hospital after a month's illness.
Born in Providence, a son of Gladys A. (Smith) Haddock of Warwick and the late Arthur J. Haddock, he had lived in Warwick for 20 years.
Mr. Haddock served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers and worked out of the Apponaug Post Office. He was a member of St. Catherine's Bowling League.
His mother is his only immediate survivor.
His funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Peter J. Barrett Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
