Patrick Wayne McCoy, 61 years old, from Jewell Valley, VA, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 from injuries sustained in a car accident. Born February 20, 1956, he was the son of Mary Elizabeth Stanton McCoy and the late Vestor McCoy.
Pat loved drag racing and any moment he could spare he would always work on his cars. He never meet a stranger, he leaves a lot of friends and loved ones he touched along the way.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathy Lynn Duncan McCoy.
Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Mary Elizabeth McCoy; daughters, Wendy Marie McCoy Graham, Tonya. Lynn McCoy Latimer, Kathy Michelle McCoy , Mary Elizabeth McCoy, and Bonnie Lynn McCoy; sons, Michael Shane McCoy, Kennie Wayne McCoy , Patrick Alan McCoy, Matthew Vester McCoy; sisters, Vesta Marietta McCoy Scholz, , Gracie Elizabeth McCoy Hulse, and Seretta McCoy Cole; and brother, Michael Vester McCoy. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Sierra, Anthony, Brian, Ceejay, Ila, Briley, Malahki, Kennie, Michael, Ryette, Isabella, and Ruckus.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 5th, 2017 at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home of Keen Mountain, VA from 6:00 p.m. with evening services beginning at 7:00 p.m with Pastor Earl Cole officiating. Family and friends will meet at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home of Keen Mountain, VA, and will go in procession to Rosa Cole Cemetery in Jewell Valley for grave side services beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Active pallbearers will be Adam Hulse, Dennis Hulse, Patrick Ghant, Mike Jackson, Gerald Horn, Michael McCoy, Kennie McCoy and Matthew McCoy.
