Margaret (Peggy) Antonello Hoover, 71, of Dupont, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at The Gardens at East Mountain, Plains Twp.

Born in Pittston on June 21, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Biondo Antonello Sr. and Elvira D'Elia Antonello Graboski.

She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish at Holy Rosary Church, Duryea.

Prior to her illness, she had worked as a retail sales clerk for K-Mart and Bon-Ton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hoover in 1991; and a sister, Elizabeth (Betty Jane) Johnson, on May 25, 2017.

Surviving are her brothers, Louis Antonello and his wife, Valerie, Berk, Va.; Biondo Antonello and his wife, Della, West Pittston; and Joseph Antonello and his wife, Mary, Dupont; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Gerald Gibbons who took care of Peggy for many years. Also, thank you to the staff at The Gardens for their exceptional care and kindness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Monday in Nativity of Our Lord Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson St., Duryea, with Rev. John Polednak officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, McAlpine Street, Duryea.
