She was born in Topeka, Kansas on September 12, 1940 the daughter of Santiago and Delfina (Barragan) Ramos.
She was a 1958 graduate of Topeka High School and then studied nursing. Victoria was a medical technician at various hospitals and worked for many years in the healthcare field and retired from Walgreens. She was a caregiver for several of her siblings, enjoyed traveling and loved doing volunteer work with children. Victoria was a member of the Daughters of the Nile in St. Louis and was a former member of Our Lady of Guadalupe and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She married M. Wayne White on August 13, 1960; he preceded her in death.
They had four sons, Carlos who predeceased her in death, Juan of St. Louis, MO; Esteban (Donna) of Wakarusa; and Miguel (Meredith) of St. Louis, MO; a former daughter-in-law Laura White of St. Louis, MO, 11 grandchildren; Tony, Danny, Jordan, Este, Tori, Tessa, Sami, Cindy, Elizabeth, Tyler, and Robbie, and two great-grandchildren, J.J. and Marley.
Victoria was preceded in death by six siblings and is survived by two sisters, Vera Sturm and Renie Escobar both of Topeka. She was a mother to many and a grandmother to even more. She touched the hearts of everyone she met and she will be so greatly missed.
Victoria will lie in state at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, June 9th, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. with a Parish Rosary being prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 10th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Cremation will follow with inurnment at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
