LONGVIEW — Carmen was born March 8, 1939, to Salvador and Carmen Negrete in Malakoff, Texas and attended Hallsville Schools, graduating in 1957. She was a lifelong resident of Harrison County where she grew some of the best peaches.
The Family will receive friends for a time of visitation Friday, June 2nd, 2017, from 6 o’clock in the evening until half past 7 o’clock when a Rosary will then be recited. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Saturday morning, June 3, 2017, at 11:00 o’clock with interment to follow at Grace Hill Cemetery, Longview, Texas. Father Dan Dower will officiate.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon Bell; daughters, Sherry Timmons Smith and Belinda Kay Timmons; grandson, Ryan Keith Smith; two sisters, Mary Sawyer and Terry Wyatt both of Lakeland, Florida; and three infant brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory are son, Donny Timmons and wife, Kathy; daughter, Debra Timmons; special niece, Angela Hillin Moore and husband, Larry; sisters, Juanita Eiker, Sarah Hiltzman and Guadalupe Negrete; grandchildren, Adam Timmons, Ronnie Ray Smith-Moses, Joshua Timmons, Jeremy Langley, Reagan Smith-Moses; and 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
