Obituary for Sandra M. Carr

Sandra M. Carr, 73, Lived in Rosiclare, IL went home to be with her Lord and Savior joining her daughter Sherrie, an unborn premature child along with other family members that have gone on before her on the morning of Thursday May 25, 2017 in Rosiclare, after suffering a stroke which caused a quick decline in her health.

Sandra was born October 16, 1943 in Waukegan, IL to George and Arlene Rynearson Sr. She retired from Baxter Health Care in Round Lake, IL.

Sandra grew up in Waukegan, IL. with four brothers and a sister. After she graduated high school she attended college at Grand Rapids School of the Bible and music. There she met Judy (Funderburg) Ostrander which became a lifelong close friend.

Sandra married Albert Eugene Carr at Union Church in Hardin County, IL by his uncle J. Roy Carr on April 25, 1964. They have a son Alan Carr and a daughter Sherrie (Carr) Michael. Sandra and Albert Carr was married 53 years only after knowing each other three weeks from the day they met till the day they were married. Sandra and her husband Albert moved to Rosiclare in 2004. Sandra felt God and her family was her greatest treasure. Having two children, three grandsons, and four great-grand kids at the time she passed away into Heaven.

She is survived by her husband Albert Carr, Rosiclare, IL; son Alan (Wanda) Carr, Rydal, GA; grandsons Alex Carr and Clay Carr, Johns Creek, GA; and Jason Michael, Minneapolis, MN; Michael (Cynthia) Poole, St. Helena Isl, SC.; great-grandsons Aldyn, Skylar, and Bryson Carr; great grand-daughter Shanda Carr. Along with brother Garold (Elaine) Rynearson, Chandler, AZ; brother Irwin (Dorothy) Rynearson, Lindenhurst, IL; and sister Arlene (David) Reiher, Philadelphia, PA.

She was preceded in death by an unborn premature child; Daughter Sherrie (Carr) Michael; Parents George (Arlene) Rynearson; Four brothers George, Robert, David, and John Rynearson, a sister Carol Rynearson. And In-laws Albert (Madeline) Carr.

The family of Sandra would like to express their sincere thanks to those who assisted us in any way during the loss of our loved one. A very special thank you to Melba Cullum for the many prayers and special meals prepared for the family. Thank you to the First Baptist church in Rosiclare for the use of your facility for the memorial services. Along with First Apostolic church in Rosiclare for allowing us to use your facilities for a dinner after the services. May God bless each one of you who assisted us through these tough times.

Sandra’s memorial services were held at First Baptist church in Rosiclare on Memorial Day Monday May 29, 2017 with her son Alan Carr officiating. Alan said this was the last thing he could do in honor of his mom. Sandra was cremated with her ashes buried at I.O.O.F. Empire Cemetery in Elizabethtown, IL.
