Bert C Puffer Passes Away This Morning
Bert C Puffer, 75, long time Havre resident, passed away shortly before noon today at a local hospital following a heart attack.

Surviving are Mrs Puffer, a daughter, Mrs W H Wondring, a son, Jerome G Puffer of Great Falls, and a sister, Mrs Ada Taylor of Minneapolis, two grandchildren and a great grandchild. One son, Norman M, was fatally injured in a mine accident in Jan 1947, near Wenatchee, Wash.

The deceased was born at Des Moines, Iowa, June 27, 1879, where he grew up and at one time followed the printing trade.

April 27, 1907, he was married to Betsy S Schebloom at St Cloud, Minn., and for a number of years they resided at Waite Park, Minn., where Mr Puffer was employed in the Great Northern car department. The family came to Havre in 1918 and Mr Puffer also worked in the Great Northern car department here.
