Helen Louise Harmon, 89, widow of William Hollis Harmon, died Saturday, June 2, 2017, at the Springfield Health and Rehab Center.

She was born on January 8, 1928, in Nelson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Charles E. Mattingly and Mary Agnes Ballard.

She was a retired Eaton employee and was a charter member of Southside Christian Church. She enjoyed flowers and spending time with her little dog Toto.

Survivors include two sons, Charles (Kathleen) Harmon and Johnny D. (Donna) Harmon, all of Springfield; one brother, Danny Smith of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Donna Faye Smith of Louisville; five grandchildren, Christy Ray, Kim (Tony) Drury, Todd (Santhi) Harmon, Holli (Darnell) White and Nicki (Jeff) Coulter; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Carolyn and Linda Harmon; one son, William Hollis Harmon, Jr. and two sisters, Mary Rose "Pee Wee" Tungate and Alice Redford.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Jim Cooper officiating. The burial will be in Peter Cemetery in Mackville, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 7 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
