HUNT, RICKEY EDWARD, of Sweetwater, passed away 1:50 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 (his 55th birthday) at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was the assistant Director of Solid Waste for Monroe County. He was a Baptist preacher and a member of Steekee Creek Baptist Church in Philadelphia where he served as the choir director for 30 years. He was preceded in death by father, Jim Hunt, sister, Cathy Hunt Davis, brother, Michael Hunt. Survivors: son, Cole Hunt and wife, Brandan; daughter, Hannah Hunt Erwin and husband, Chris; son, Isaac Hunt and wife, Nicole; 4 grandchildren; mother, Marie Hunt; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys and Jerry Gray, Evette and Donnie Chambers, Linda Wright; brothers and sisters-in-law, Everette and Pat Hunt, Charles and Lanette Hunt; several nieces and nephews; step-children, Matt, Jessica and Tiffany Owings; several step-grandchildren. Funeral 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Greg Jameson, Rev. Stacy Chambers officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Lee’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
