Arthur Edward Rideout, Sr., 79, of Fort Smith, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith.
He was born September 19, 1937 in Everett, MA to the late Emerson Eaton Rideout and Edith Mildred Burke Rideout.
He was a retired printer for Universal Packaging/Graphic Packaging and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 PM-6:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial to follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife Mildred Teresa Rideout, three sons Arthur Edward Rideout, Jr. and wife Gretchen of Fort Smith, Ted Burke Rideout and wife Becky of Greenville, TN and Gregory John Rideout and wife Kelley of Little Rock, one sister Diane Rideout of Massachusetts, one brother Robert Rideout of Rhode Island and eight grandchildren Emily Rideout, Meredith (Rideout) Woolsey, Andrew Rideout, Kate Rideout, Carter Rideout, Hayley Rideout, Bayley Rideout and Nick Rideout.
Pallbearers will be Brett Baker, Jerry Casalman, Andrew Rideout, Carter Rideout, Nick Rideout and Baxter Woosley.
