LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Elizabeth Ballard Mobley, age 92, died Thursday, June 1, 2017. She was born June 18, 1924 in Heath Springs, a daughter of the late Willis Franklin Ballard, Sr. and Mattie Robertson Ballard and was the wife of the late Robert Lewis Mobley, Sr. Mrs. Mobley enjoyed cross stitching, sewing, needle point and cooking. She also loved to travel with her late husband. Mrs. Mobley was a member of the Chamber Choir, First United Methodist Church Choir and was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Mobley is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert Lewis Mobley, Jr. and his wife, Nell of Greer, SC and Hugh Franklin Mobley and his wife, Donna of Lancaster; a brother, Will Ballard and his wife, Delee of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Paige Mobley Capes, Allison Mobley, Amy McCraw, Drew Mobley, Sally Mobley and Amanda Mobley; seven great grandchildren, Natalie, Ryann, Silas, and Taite Capes and Baskins and Crew McCraw, and Wilkes Mobley and her special family at Morningside.

Mrs. Mobley was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Tilson.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Mobley will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 4, 2017 at First United Methodist Church by Rev. Charles Phillips. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor and suggest memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church Choir Fund for the purchase of new choir robes, PO Box 608, Lancaster, SC 29721.
