Muncie - Jewell Earnestine Jones, 81, passed away Sunday morning, May 28, 2017 at I. U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Earnestine was born October 18, 1935, in Double Springs, Alabama, the daughter of Charles Hughes and Ora Lee Dyer.

She had worked in food service at Ball Memorial Hospital and retired after over twenty years of service.

Earnestine loved going to church, caring for her family, rummaging, and shopping.

She was a member of Heritage Apostolic Tabernacle.

Earnestine is survived by her sons, Ronnie (Karen) Jones, and Rick Jones, Sr.; sister, Helen Thompson; grandchildren, Jeremiah (fiance' Julie Menton) Jones, Bambi Fawn, Rick Jones, Jr., Randy(Melissa) Jones, Sarah (Kris) Kadinger, and Heather (Charles) Payne; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Services will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304 with Bishop Michael Perdue officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home on Tuesday.

Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park immediately following the service.
