Elizabeth was widowed as young wife when husband Ratlif Boone Reed accidentally shot himself. She next married widower William S Trent. She cared for his children and her one living son, Milton Reed and then had 9 more children. Her grave was washed away in the Hardin cemetery disaster but luckily a photo of the stone was taken prior to the flood. Her obit said of her 9 children by Trent five were still living. they are linked in findagrave. There are three of her nine children whose burials have not been located. These three are: Charles Trent b. 1864 and died prior to 1899, Ulysses S Grant Trent b. 1866 and died 1884, and Ora J Trent b. Sep 1869 d. before 1880 most likely in Shelbina.
