"Mrs. D C. Berry Passes Away In Reno --- In loving memory of Lucy E. Berry, beloved wife of D. C. Berry who passed to her heavenly home Sept. 23, 1921, in Reno, Nev.

"Mrs. Berry was born in Concordia, Missouri, Feb. 15, 1862, being at the time of her passing away 59 years, 7 months and 8 days of age. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, D. C. Berry, five children, Mrs. Cora B. Follett of New Pine Creek, Or., Albert R. Berry of Fallon, Nev., Mrs. Fannie Guilliams of Chico, Calif., Oliver C. Berry and Mrs. Bessie B. Briles of Davis Creek, Calif., six grandchildren, Rita, Cecil, Darrell and Alma Berry and Geraldine and Glenn Guilliams, and a precious aged mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Follett and also two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Morrison and Mrs. Lura Amick and two brothers, E. D. Mulkey of Alturas and Luke Mulkey of Chico.

"Mrs. Berry came across the plains in an emigrant train when 12 years of age with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Mulkey They arrived in Reno in 1874 and came directly to Davis Creek where Mrs. Berry has lived all her life.

"She was married to D. C. Berry at Davis Creek, Nov. 16, 1879. Mr. and Mrs. Berry enjoyed forty three years of married life. These years held the joys and sorrows of the lives of most people with the care that is brought with a frail mother, but this frailness developed constant care and patience uniting the family in the tenderest of ties. The funeral was held from the church at Davis Creek Sunday afternoon, interment being made in the Davis Creek cemetery where surrounded by the relatives and friends, and covered with the beautiful flowers she loved so well in life all that was mortal of that dear little woman was laid away to await the call triumphant, and to you dear sorrowing friends we extend our loving sympathy.
