Jesse is a graduate of Pollock High School and Tulane University. Prior to going to Tulane he served in the US Navy and was stationed in Japan for a few years. Upon graduating from the Tulane with a Bachelor of Science he accepted a job with Creole Petroleum Corporation (a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil) in Venezuela, South American in 1955. There he met his lovely wife, Yemila. They were married on July 2, 1957. This year would have been their 60 year anniversary.
During his employment as an auditor with Creole he worked in Maracaibo, Cabimas, La Salina, San Tome, and Judibana. After his retirement in 1984 he moved with his wife to Houston, Texas where he worked for Bariven for 8 years. After retiring for a second time they moved to Anchorage, Alaska to be near his daughter and grandchildren. He lived in Anchorage for 16 years. After leaving Anchorage he lived in Charlotte, North Carolina close to his two sons for four years. He relocated to Scottsdale in 2012. Jesse was a man of God since he was reborn many years ago and became a devout Christian while living in San Tome, Venezuela where he was baptized in the river by his dear friend Pastor John Grube. From that moment on he never faltered in his faith of Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his mother Josephine when he was a young boy, his father Hardy, his brother Louis, his sister-in-law Jewel, his uncle Boyd, and many other relatives whom he deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife Yemila Young, his daughter Peggy Young, his son Jim Young and wife Mariana, his son John Young and wife Maria, his grandchildren Robi Gonzalez, Jessika Gonzalez-Fleming and husband Keegan Fleming, Jessie Young, Julia Young, Patrick Young, Isabel Young, and the newest addition to the family his first great grandchild, Theodore Fleming.
