Linda Sue Wohlfeil was born January 15, 1951 in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of seven children born from the union of the late Carl Wohlfeil and the late Rita (Stienman) Wohlfeil. Linda was a 1970 graduate of Erie Mason High School and married the love of her life, Paul Gerard, on December 5, 1970. She was blessed to have stayed home and raise three beautiful children and care for their home.

Although Linda liked things done her way, she was friendly and kind to all who knew her and had quite the sense of humor. Family meant the world to her, looking forward to spending time with them at get-togethers and holidays; her favorite being the Fourth of July. Linda took pride in her grandchildren was thrilled to play video games with them, especially Guitar Hero.

Linda appreciated the outdoors fishing, camping, relaxing around the camp fire and simply watching her yellow roses bloom.

In her quiet time, Linda could be found watching a variety of television shows such as: NCIS, Animal Planet and Swamp People or coloring pictures.

Linda Sue Gerard, age 66, of Coleman. Michigan passed away peacefully at 11:46am on June 1, 2017 at the MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by three brothers: Bill Stienman, Louie Wohlfeil and Mike Meyer; a sister: MaryLou Taylor; and son: Brant Gerard, a granddaughter Dorothy Gerard.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her husband of forty-six years, Paul; two sons: Earl (Bobbi Griffith) Gerard of Coleman and Brian (Diane Waldenmayer) Gerard of Monroe; two sisters: Elly Bayer or Monroe and Lorraine(George) Webber of Temperance; seven grandchildren: B.J. Gerard, Paula (Robert) Gerard of Clair, Victoria Gerard of Luna Pier, Samantha, Brooklyn, Dalton and Bethany of Monroe; two great grandchildren: Aniyah, and Bellamy; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may gather on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734)384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, June 10, 2017 also at Merkle’s with Pastor Harold Raines of Monroe Full Gospel Church officiating. Procession to Roselawn Memorial Park will follow.
