Virginia Ann Bates, 69, of Franklin, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in Franklin.
She was born on June 10, 1949 in Rosebud, Texas to Bob Harris Little and Ivy Virginia Franklin Little. She was a graduate of Calvert High School and married Clifton Bates on May 9, 1969 in Calvert. Virginia was a homemaker and was a resident of Franklin for the past 40 years. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifton "Bubba" Bates; brother, Charles Roy Little; and sister, Peggy Van Winkle.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Amy Bates of Franklin and Tim and Melissa Bates of Canyon Lake; sister, Sandra Clark of Rosebud; brother, Bobby Little of Rosebud; grandchildren, Samantha Bates, Alex Bates and Charlie Bates; great-grandchildren, Carson Bates and Beau Bates.
Graveside services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 1:00 P.M.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
