Darlene Underwood, age 51 of LaFollette passed away Feb. 12 at her home. She
was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, and sister. She loved her grandchildren, fishing, sewing, and
cooking for her family. She also collected candles. She was preceded in death by
her parents, Charles and Lois Stanford Gibson; brothers, Jimmy and Charles
Gibson, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Timothy Underwood; son, Chuckie
Dewayne Elkins; son and daughter in law, Randall Allen and Melinda McGlone;
daughter and son in law, Melissa and Thomas Babb; grandchildren, David Allen, Tyler
Dewayne, Blake, Brandon, and Brett Elkins, Preston McGlone, Randy June McGlone,
Ryan Miller, and Steven Miller; brother and sister in law, Doyle and Teresa
Gibson all of LaFollette. Funeral services will be held Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. at
the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Leroy Braden officiating.
Interment will follow in the Stokes Cemetery. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in
charge of the arrangements.
